Stockholm attack: Several dead and 'shots fired' after hijacked truck crashes into shoppers

Four people have died and 15 left injured after a hijacked truck crashed into crowds of people before ramming into a department store in central Stockholm, Swedish police have confirmed.

Gunshots were also reportedly heard as panicked shoppers fled during the deadly rampage on Drottninggatan (Queen Street), which began just before 3pm local time.

Stockholm's regional health care authorities have confirmed nine of those injured in the attack are in a serious condition.
