The Constitution still stands for something. On January 6, Republicans in Congress have a chance to prove it.

A challenge to the electoral ballots from Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Georgia is not just crucial for the protection of 75 million voters who are rightly feeling hopelessly disenfranchised, but it is also a constitutional obligation if anyone is to take our founding documents seriously from this point forward.

Republican state legislators in Pennsylvania are urging Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., to contest the results of the state's 20 electors.

The request was made in a letter signed by 27 GOP state lawmakers, urging McConnell to "dispute the certification until an investigation is completed" in election irregularities and violations of state election law, Newsweek reported.

"Without a thorough investigation into these allegations, the certification of the Pennsylvania election results is suspect at best," the letter read, per the report.

Throughout the course of his run for president, Joe Biden has been full of gaffes. He has managed to "forget" important information, like what office he was running for, who his wife and sister are, what day Super Tuesday falls on, and the name of the Chinese President, Xi Jingping.

It should come as no surprise that Biden had another gaffe when on Tuesday he referred to Kamala Harris as "president-elect." He made the comments during a press conference after Harris received the first dose of the Wuhan coronavirus vaccine. Yes, it is the same vaccine that she said she would never receive while President Donald Trump was in office.

Joe Biden was known for gaffes for 47 years. He was mocked even during the Obama administration for being so gaffe-prone as even liberal media like Politico acknowledged in 2009 when they didn’t feel they had to protect him to ensure Democrats’ power.

But throughout the campaign, it’s gotten much worse as his cognitive decline has gotten worse, with just constant gaffes and confusion.

On Tuesday, Biden was talking about how Kamala Harris, his vice presidential running mate, had taken the vaccine to instill public confidence in it (despite the fact she had previously attacked the concept of it, saying she would not take a vaccine developed under President Donald Trump).

In a year-end vote that wasn’t controlled by the Democratic Party machine or reliant on inscrutable mail-in ballots, President Trump has been voted the nation’s most admired man for 2020 in Gallup’s annual poll.

This is the first time Mr. Trump has achieved the top spot in the poll. Last year, he tied with former President Obama who had enjoyed the No. 1 spot for a remarkable 12 years.

This Gallup result is likely the last 2020 reminder by Americans of how much Mr. Trump is not just admired, but appreciated.

Republican Senator Josh Hawley said he will object to the certification of the Electoral College votes for Joe Biden as president when Congress convenes on Jan. 6, defying warnings from GOP leaders against staging a doomed-to-fail spectacle.

“I cannot vote to certify the electoral college results on January 6 without raising the fact that some states, particularly Pennsylvania, failed to follow their own state election laws,” Hawley, of Missouri, said in a statement. “And I cannot vote to certify without pointing out the unprecedented effort of mega corporations, including Facebook and Twitter, to interfere in this election, in support of Joe Biden.”

The Trump campaign on Tuesday filed a petition for a writ of certiorari with the United States Supreme Court. The campaign is effectively asking the high court to review lower court decisions in the Donald J. Trump, et al vs. Joseph R. Biden, et al. case where the Wisconsin State Supreme Court allowed allegedly illegal absentee ballots to be counted. Trump's team claims those ballots were illegally counted.
