4 Million Children Have Been Signed Up For Trump Accounts: IRS

People can start contributing to the accounts starting July 4. The annual limit is $5,000.

American taxpayers have signed up over 4 million children to the tax-advantaged Trump Accounts, and more than 1 million of those accounts have elected to receive the $1,000 pilot contribution from the government, the IRS said in a March 31 statement.

“Contributions to Trump Accounts can be made starting July 4, 2026. All eligible children may receive deposits from parents, relatives, friends, employers, state governments, philanthropic organizations, and individuals, subject to an annual limit,” the IRS said.

The Trump Accounts, formally the Invest America accounts, were established under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act signed into law by President Donald Trump in July last year.

Every child under 18 who is a U.S. citizen and has a valid Social Security Number is eligible to open a Trump Account. In addition, any child born between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2028, can get an initial seed contribution of $1,000 from the government.

Rep. Randy Fine, R-Fla., told Newsmax that he believes the end of the military conflict with Iran is near.

Fine told "American Agenda" on Tuesday, "My belief is we're measuring this in days or weeks, not months."

He said Americans should remember that President Donald Trump outlined his objectives in ordering military strikes against Iran to primarily focus on Iran's nuclear weapons capabilities.

"Our goal," said Fine, "always has been simply making sure that Iran cannot develop a nuclear weapon [and] to make sure they cannot develop a missile that can deliver that nuclear weapon to us.

"Once we've achieved our objectives, this can come to an end."

A quiet but consequential legal movement is gathering momentum. Idaho and Utah have enacted statutes declaring that artificial intelligence systems are not legal persons. Ohio’s House Bill 469 proposes to declare that AI systems are “nonsentient entities” and bars them from acquiring any form of legal personhood. Similar bills are advancing in Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Missouri, South Carolina, and Washington. The legislatures driving this movement are not technophobes. They are drawing a necessary line that philosophy, law, and common sense all demand.

The pressure in the opposite direction is real. In January, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, historian Yuval Noah Harari described AI as “mastering language.” Since language is the medium ...

President Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order Tuesday cracking down on mail-in voting across the country, the Daily Caller learned first.

The executive order will require the Secretary of Homeland Security to create a list of verified U.S. citizens who are eligible to vote in each state with the Social Security Administration’s help, according to a fact sheet shared with the Caller. The presidential action will also require that the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) only send absentee ballots to those on each state’s approved mail-in ballot list. Ballots will now have specific secure envelopes, with unique barcodes for tracking, the order mandates.

States will be provided with their revised list of confirmed voters no less than 60 days before each federal election under the order.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the military knows that China and Russia are backing Iran in the war as steps are underway to counter the support.

“As far as Russia and China, we know exactly what they’re doing, what they are or are not doing,” Mr. Hegseth told reporters Tuesday while declining to provide details.

“We don’t have to air publicly what all of that is, but where necessary, we’re addressing it and we’re mitigating it and or we’re confronting it head on,” he said.

Russian support for the besieged Iranian military, which has been hit with thousands of U.S. and Israeli missile and bomb strikes, reportedly includes providing intelligence for Iranian missiles.

Iran carried out a precision attack on an air base in Saudi Arabia that destroyed an E-3 airborne control aircraft, demonstrating a long-range strike. 

Recent reports stated that Russia has been providing Tehran with real-time targeting data used in missile strikes in the region.

A report by the Atlantic Council stated that China facilitates the transfer of both Chinese- and Western-made navigation technology to Iran, and Russia shares satellite imagery and modified Shahed drone technology that improves navigation and targeting.

Since 2021, China has allowed Iran access to its BeiDou Global Positioning System data, which can be used in missile targeting, the report said.

Rep. John Rose, R-Tenn., said Monday on Newsmax's "Wake Up America" that Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., should step aside, arguing Republican leadership has failed to deliver on ending the Department of Homeland Security shutdown.

Rose reaffirmed his earlier remarks, saying it's time for new leadership in the Senate to "carry the flag" and meet the expectations of voters.

He added that recent Senate actions were "really reprehensible."

Rose criticized senators for leaving Washington ahead of a key funding deadline last week, despite knowing the consequences for border security and federal workers.

"It was very clear what they needed to get done," he said, pointing to funding for ICE and Border Patrol and ensuring TSA agents were paid.

"That's what the American people want," Rose said, adding that Thune "capitulated."

But the responsibility extends beyond the GOP leader, he said, arguing that Senate Republicans failed to use available tools to stop what he called a flawed bill.

The RINO Industrial Complex is not only alive and well, it's quite giddy at the prospect of major losses for the GOP in the 2026 midterm elections.

Former top Republican officials critical of President Trump are already taking to the airwaves predicting catastrophe.

The gridlock in Washington D.C. is not only due to the radical left fighting the MAGA agenda tooth and nail, the RINOs (Republicans in Name Only) have also been useful allies in placing almost every Trump policy under siege.

RINOs will secretly delay and obstruct, until they can extirpate MAGA from the GOP, a populist movement they see as a cancer to "their" political party.

Those hoping to return the GOP to a milquetoast version of the party that existed before President Trump won in 2016, are positively ebullient at the spectacle of prominent influencers taking turns insulting each other on the internet.

To complicate matters, so many fake Republican grifters have infiltrated the movement, that they're claiming the moral high ground defending the barbaric mullahs of Iran.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill Monday to rename a major airport in the state to President Donald J. Trump International Airport.

Only a handful of miles from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence, the Palm Beach International Airport becomes the latest example of buildings, programs, and more to inherit the president’s name.

The change, which would take effect on July 1, is first subject to approval by the Federal Aviation Administration. The airport would also have to be renamed on various flight and navigation databases.

According to the bill, Palm Beach County, where the airport is located, must be granted commercial use of “President Donald J. Trump International Airport” and the “the perpetual and unrestricted right to use the name … as well as reasonable abbreviations thereof or deviations therefrom, at no cost, in signage, advertising, marketing, merchandising, and promotions and for the branding of the airport ...

Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Acting Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Jay Bhattacharya took to the CPAC stage to declare, "It's no longer Tony Fauci's NIH."

Thank God for that.

Dr. Bhattacharya's remarks followed the powerful speech of Reza Pahlavi, and he admitted, "That was a tough act to follow. What an amazing speaker."

But he forged ahead, detailing how the agencies he helms are doing their part to Make America Health Again (MAHA).

Bhattacharya said:

"I want to tell you a great story about how we can make America healthy again. And I'm going to begin with a perspective from 1944 that still challenges us today. There was a man named Vannevar Bush. He wrote a book called, The Endless Frontier,' that warned that the scientific progress of the United States was becoming unevenly distributed. Too much research capacity, he argued, was concentrated in a small number of institutions. He called on the federal government not just to invest in science, but to build a system that expanded opportunity across the country. And for 80 years, we've answered that call with extraordinary commitment. I've been now to the great scientific institutions of the country, and I've seen American scientists just devoted to the cause of discoveries that will make America healthy again."

"This operation, okay, and that's what this is. It's about very specific objectives. The president laid them out on the first night of the operation," Rubio said. There are two kinds of people: the kind of people who want to end the Iran War and people who want to win the Iran War. The Victory Option encompasses the goal of the first kind of people because it ends the war, but ending the war is not the proper objective. The proper objective in any war is to win it. Anyone glancing at social media sees people with an absolute commitment to America’s defeat. And defeat comes about only if Donald Trump chooses to quit the war – because the Iranians can’t make us do anything since they don’t have a nuclear bomb, thanks to Donald Trump – in a way that doesn’t achieve victory. Victory means regime change. Once again, remember your Clausewitz – war is simply politics with other means. This is a political struggle. The military aspect is just how it’s being done, not what’s being done.

A victory end-state is one in which Iran is no longer a destabilizing force in the world – note that I said “world,” not just the Middle East. By destabilizing force, I mean the funder of radically jihadi savages all over the world – for example, they blew up a Jewish center in Argentina – as well as enablers of Chi Com mischief by selling Xi oil. They are also a destabilizing force because they seek to be the owners of sufficient numbers of drones and missiles that they can inflict unacceptable punishment on their neighbors. Oh, and there’s the whole nuclear thing. Just imagine Iran with nuclear weapons on top of ballistic missiles. You know, the ballistic missiles they promised they didn’t have, but actually had, since they shot a couple at Diego Garcia? Putting aside all the fatwas the fatheads cite claiming that the ayatollahs had forbidden nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles, think about them having Paris and London in hot rock range, with the United States coming soon into the crosshairs as Iran reaches intercontinental capability. That’s when they start dictating to us. Call me crazy, but I prefer we dictate to our enemies instead of vice versa.

So, what we’re fighting for is a neutered Iran, or rather a neutralized Iran, where it stops being an active enemy. It doesn’t have to be a friend. It just has to not be a threat, because they are right now. And that’s one of the things a lot of people on the Democrat side and some of our podcast bros and libertarians misunderstand. Well, they misunderstand a lot of things, but this one’s particularly important. The mullahs hate us and want us dead for reasons that we can’t necessarily comprehend. But the fact that we can’t comprehend why they believe that some missing mahdi requires them to kill us doesn’t mean that they don’t believe that some missing mahdi requires them to kill us. They do. They’ve told us so for 47 years. They’re not out there chanting “Death to America” figuratively. We have real enemies.

To observe the current dismantling of “globalization with Chinese characteristics” is to witness the unwinding of a decades-long experiment. Whether by explicit design or reflexive instinct, the Trump administration has acted as the wrecking ball for the postwar rules-based order, clearing the ground for a world of sovereign nation-states.

It is worth noting that, in their early decades, both the “rules-based international order” and post-Cold War globalization delivered real and substantial benefits to the United States as a whole. They helped secure American strategic primacy after 1945, fueled decades of economic expansion, spread Western technological and institutional influence, and contributed to the peaceful end of the Cold War. For a long time, the system appeared to reinforce rather than undermine U.S.

Senator Mike Lee, a Republican from Utah, blasted the Senate for passing a funding bill meant to move Congress closer to ending the partial government shutdown that has left the Department of Homeland Security unfunded for more than 40 days, but ultimately failed to do so.

Though approved after weeks of gridlock, the measure excluded funding for key immigration agencies, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and parts of Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Despite the failure, the Senate declared their work finished and entered a two-week recess, only for House Republicans to revolt and block the bill’s path forward, prolonging the shutdown.

Commentary

I’ve recently relaxed my old rule about not talking to reporters of mainline corporate news, if only as an experiment to test what comes out in print versus what I told them. What I’ve discovered probably won’t surprise you. If I’m quoted at all, it is in service of the thesis and spin of the article. If I said nothing to reinforce the spin, my comments are dropped entirely.

This is what I’ve found.

So one wonders, why bother? For me, it has been an education in the difference between good reporters and bad ones. A good reporter gets the story, which is usually complicated and involves a number of different perspectives. He calls up stakeholders on the matter and gets quotes that frame up the issue in service to the reader so that consumers get the whole picture.

That’s the ideal. Sadly, mainstream media has been largely taken over by editors, owners, and writers who have a single narrative to tell and sell. It doesn’t matter how many other views are out there or how many people contradict the story. They tell it anyway.

Four U.S. senators from both sides of the aisle are planning to visit Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea within the coming days to strengthen U.S. alliances that they see as critical to challenging China’s sphere of influence.

Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), who serves as the ranking Democrat member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, announced the trip on March 28. Sens. John Curtis (R-Utah), Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), and Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.) will join her on a trip to Taipei, Taiwan; Tokyo; and Seoul, South Korea, ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump’s May summit with Chinese leader Xi Jinping in Beijing.

The trip could cause friction with Chinese leadership, which opposes other countries having relations with Taiwan and sees such activities as a challenge to Beijing’s claim of sovereignty over the independent island.

President Donald Trump again suggested that U.S. military action could be coming against Cuba as his administration has placed economic pressure on the communist-ruled island nation.

“I built this great military. I said, ‘You’ll never have to use it.' But sometimes you have to use it. And Cuba is next by the way,” Trump told Future Investment Initiative summit in Miami on March 27. He then added, “But pretend I didn’t ‌say ⁠that. Pretend I didn’t.”

After that, Trump said, “Cuba’s next.”

The Trump administration has opened up negotiations with elements of Cuba’s leadership ​in recent weeks, and the president has previously hinted that military action could be possible.

U.S. Marines and Army paratroopers deployed to the region amid the Iran conflict are preparing to protect themselves against chemical or nuclear incidents, The National reported Friday.

Marines will practice chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear warfare drills, former Marine Jonathan Hackett told The National.

"The CBRN unit can also be scaled up in size, but the conventional Marine forces will have their CBRN gear and be drilling on it, with 15 seconds to get mask and MOPP [ on when someone shouts 'Gas, gas, gas,' " Hackett said, referencing the chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear gear and mission-oriented protective posture gear.

The risk of the conflict with Iran causing a chemical or nuclear incident could increase if it escalates further or if Iran faces defeat, The National reported.

GRAPEVINE, Texas—A packed crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) roared their approval as Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi urged President Donald Trump to reject leaving any faction of the Islamic regime in power.

Pahlavi praised Trump during a March 28 speech as the only president in nearly 50 years with the courage and character to give Iranians a chance at freedom.

Iranians want a clean break from the mullahs, he said. He asked America to stay the course rather than give the regime a chance to remain in control.

“We prefer to die standing than to live kneeling,” he said.

Pahlavi said keeping any regime faction in power would let the mullahs rebuild and resume hostilities against America. “The Islamic Republic cannot reform itself,” he said. “You cannot reform a snake.

CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) Day 2 finished up with a panel titled, "The President Will Sue You Now," hosted by Townhall Managing Editor Larry O'Connor. It focused on the way President Donald Trump has not only helped decimate legacy media by first challenging their lies, then successfully suing them, but how Trump and others have maximized new media to their advantage in order to disseminate the truth and debunk the traditional media narratives.

Larry acknowledged this shift, saying:

First, guys, the title of the panel, which is kind of funny: "The President Will Sue You Now," that's because the media lied about Donald Trump. We know that, right? But Donald Trump did something that no other politician has done. He sued ABC News and George Stephanopoulos and won a settlement.

He sued CBS News and "60 Minutes," and won a settlement. And he's now threatening like a billion-dollar lawsuit against the BBC, and we'll see how that goes.

By now, you have likely heard a great deal about the most recent machinations in Congress. Unsurprisingly, people have thoughts on the members of the United State Senate leaving for their two-week Easter vacation/recess. while some in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) are missing a third paycheck in a row, and struggling to hold body and soul together. As things stand, the Schumer partial shutdown continues. 

One of our colleagues at sister site Townhall wrote a piece earlier on Saturday about Pres. Trump's Border Czar, Tom Homan reading the senators the riot act. As Joseph Chalfant stated quite perfectly, Homan did not mince words while chafing the upper chamber members' rear quarters for "leaving these ICE heroes" to essentially fend for themselves - while continuing to show up to work:

"We cannot do what we do very well if we don't have those people doing what they do,” Homan said on Fox News' Saturday in America. “They put gas in cars. They pay bills. They keep their lights on. They make sure we have the equipment to do this job. So, yes, we need everybody funded.”

Now, President Trump has recently signed an order, directing DHS to find funds (possibly from the Big Beautiful Bill/Law) to restore paychecks to TSA agents and others, as RedState wrote late Thursday, and the House Republicans are holding the line by passing a CR (continuing resolution) in their chamber Friday.

Welcome to "The New Monroe Doctrine," where I give you an update on what's going on in the Western Hemisphere, south of our border, especially as it relates to the United States.

This week's topic? Dictators, dictators-lite, and falsely accused dictators. Let's just dive right in.

Dictator-Lite Down... Down In the Polls

Western Hemisphere dictators and commies are falling like dominoes this year, and we may not even need Delta Force to make it all happen.

First, there was Nicolás Maduro, of course. The Cuban regime is looking more and more likely to be next. We've seen countries like Chile and Honduras force their own lefty leaders out of office at the voting booths. And while there are still plenty of bad leaders around, the three biggest problems are Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva of Brazil, Gustavo Petro of Colombia, and Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico.

Colombia faces new elections in about two months, and the odds of another commie taking Petro's place are slim. We knew that. We're stuck with Sheinbaum until 2030, unless something crazy happens. And I was beginning to think we were stuck with Lula, who, let's face it, is the biggest pro-China/Russia, anti-United States cancer in the hemisphere. When I first started writing about the Brazilian elections last fall, he was ahead in the polls. Outlook not so good.

But that's changing.

GRAPEVINE, Texas—Europe is going to need a “Trump-style revolution” to turn back the tide of illegal immigration that has changed the face of Europe, according to two former prime ministers.

Liz Truss, former British Prime Minister, told those attending the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) that an elite class in Britain and Europe wants to destroy Western civilization.

“There has been a globalist movement,” she said. “They captured the institutions, universities, mainstream media, corporate sector, and bureaucracy. They believe in open borders.”

Truss said the conservative party in Britain didn’t do enough to stop the globalists who support illegal immigrants and transgender ideology, and don’t believe the family is important.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday said "Cuba is next" during a speech at an investment forum in Miami during which he touted the successes of U.S. military action in Venezuela and Iran.

While the president did not specify what precisely he plans to do with the island nation, he has frequently said he believes the government in Havana, facing a severe economic crisis, is on the verge of collapse.

His administration has opened up negotiations with elements of Cuba's leadership in recent weeks, while Trump himself has hinted that kinetic action could be possible. 

"I built this great military. I said, 'You'll never have to use it.' But sometimes you have to use it. And Cuba is next by the way," Trump told the conference on Friday.

"But pretend I didn't say that. Pretend I didn't."

On Friday at CPAC 2026, the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, Brendan Carr, sat down with Julie Strauss Levin, General Counsel for America First Legal Foundation, for what turned out to be a pretty interesting conversation. It was a hard-hitting, fast-paced interview that wrapped up very quickly, and there was a lot of information put out.

Here are some highlights.

Mr. Carr set out by describing the FCC's mandate in regulating communications. But his primary achievements were described as his efforts to take on the fake media. Mr. Carr noted that President Trump, who appointed him to his current role, ran on a primary platform plank of taking on the legacy media. He further noted that several liberal legacy media figures have left their prime positions, that taxpayer-funded public media has been defunded.

Broadcasters, Mr. Carr noted, have a license from the government, and by FCC regulations, are required to present information in accordance with FCC regulation. Now, he said, local stations are being empowered to push back on major broadcast networks, giving them more latitude to tailor programming to local preferences. They are, as Mr. Carr said, required to serve the public interest.

He went on to give several examples of obvious bias by the legacy media networks and print outlets.

Ms. Levin pointed out the great disparity in coverage of Democrat vs. Republican politicians and policies, noting that Kamala Harris received over 90 percent favorable coverage, whereas President Trump received the opposite, claiming that 9 percent more Americans have trust in gas station sushi than in big media..

Mr. Carr was asked to explain the Equal Time provision, which requires broadcast networks, in news programming, to provide equal time for political candidates on both sides of an issue. There is an exception in the rule for what are known as bona fide news organizations, but went on to describe how that exception has been badly abused in recent years. Mr. Carr also noted that there is currently an FCC investigation over alleged violations of this rule.

It's a day ending in "y," which means it's a day the Trump administration can make an announcement that has the potential to send The Usual Suspects swaying towards the fainting couches.

Undoubtedly, that's exactly what they did after President Trump posted on Truth Social on Thursday evening that he was going to sign an executive order directing Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Markwayne Mullin to pay Transportation Security Administration (TSA) workers amid the Democrats' continued refusal to fund DHS, as RedState reported earlier.

"Because the Democrats have recklessly created a true National Crisis, I am using my authorities under the Law to protect our Great Country, as I always will do!" Trump wrote. "Therefore, I am going to sign an Order instructing the Secretary of Homeland Security, Markwayne Mullin, to immediately pay our TSA Agents."

As if that wasn't enough to send the left and mainstream media over the edge, the announcement from Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Thursday about a big change to U.S. paper currency will likely speed up the pace of Democrat implosions:

In honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump’s signature will appear on future U.S. paper currency along with the Secretary of the Treasury, marking the first time in history for a sitting president.

“Under President Trump’s leadership, we are on a path toward unprecedented economic growth, lasting dollar dominance, and fiscal strength and stability,” said Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent. “There is no more powerful way to recognize the historic achievements of our great country and President Donald J. Trump than U.S dollar bills bearing his name, and it is only appropriate that this historic currency be issued at the Semiquincentennial.”

“As the 250th anniversary of our great nation approaches, American currency will continue to stand as a symbol of prosperity, strength, and the unshakable spirit of the American people under President Trump’s leadership,” said Treasurer Brandon Beach. “The President’s mark on history as the architect of America’s Golden Age economic revival is undeniable. Printing his signature on the American currency is not only appropriate, but also well deserved.”
