Rep. Bob Good: Newsmax Willing to Hold Government Accountable

Republican Congressman Bob Good of Virginia told "Rob Schmitt Tonight" that Newsmax is "willing to try to hold our government accountable" despite censorship attempts.
Good, a member of the Freedom Caucus, joined several colleagues on the House floor moments before appearing on the program Tuesday to call out AT&T's decisions to boot Newsmax and One America News Network off DirecTV.
"To see this happening, continue to happen with DirecTV and AT&T deplatforming the fourth-largest cable news channel Newsmax — obviously no reason for them to do that from a business standpoint," Good pointed out.
"Matter of fact, they're operating in conflict with the business interests, the interests of their customers, their employees, and their shareholders," he argued, adding that AT&T was suppressing "freedom of speech and freedom of the press."
The congressman further described the satellite provider as "an agent of suppressing" Newsmax's goal to "point out when the government's wrong."

DirecTV's censorship should not just be a conservative rally cry, Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., a former newspaper owner, told Newsmax.
Tenney said Democrats, CNN, MSNBC, and even Fox News should be standing with Newsmax as DirecTV — after being prodded by progressives — is "chilling" free speech.
"Where are they in this?" Tenney, asked of Fox News, on Tuesday's "Eric Bolling The Balance" about an hour after Rep. Ken Buck, R-Colo., hosted a one-hour special order on the House floor arguing for freedom of speech after AT&T DirecTV's removal of Newsmax.
"I owned a newspaper, so I wanted to be sure that we gave everyone an opportunity," she told host Eric Bolling.
"I would think that Fox would be behind you and supporting you, actually so should MSNBC and CNN. They should be saying this shouldn't happen. What if, at some point, the tables turn and they're in the same boat? I think this is what it's all about to actually stand up for freedom of expression, to stand up for our marketplace of ideas and the Constitution.

Remember how we always said that if the Justice Department and the FBI could abuse their power to violate the rights of the president of the United States, they can do it to anyone?
Well, meet Mark Houck.
Mark Houck was praying in front of a Planned Parenthood abortion factory in Philadelphia. He was standing on a city street sidewalk with his 12-year-old son minding his own business. Then an incident made him the victim of one of the grossest abuses of power in the Department of Justice's history.
Coming off of the obscene Russian collusion hoax and the FBI's continued investigation of parents as domestic terrorists for complaining to their local school boards, the idea that we could see an even more blatant abuse of power and government intimidation against an innocent American citizen would normally be unthinkable. But sadly, here we are.
