President Donald Trump on Monday morning said Iran has requested a meeting with the U.S. following a weekend of exchanged military attacks.

"IRAN HAS REQUESTED A MEETING. IT WILL TAKE PLACE TOMORROW IN DOHA!" Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The announcement came as U.S. and Iranian officials continued implementing the memorandum of understanding reached earlier this month, with Qatar serving as a key mediator in the negotiations.

Trump did not provide additional details about who would attend the meeting or what issues would be discussed.

Trump's announcement follows heightened tensions over the weekend, when the two countries exchanged military strikes before diplomatic contacts resumed.

Reuters reported Monday that Iranian and U.S. technical teams are expected to meet in Doha in the coming days as work continues on implementing the agreement.

Beijing’s expansionism against Taiwan faces mounting global pushback, yet experts warn the regime will defy the pressure and relentlessly squeeze the island just short of war.

The UK, France, and Germany expressed concern about Chinese activity in waters east of Taiwan on June 24.

Chinese actions “threaten regional stability and the freedom of navigation and safety of international shipping,” according to a joint statement issued by the British Office Taipei, the French Office in Taipei, and the German Institute Taipei.

The American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), the de facto U.S. embassy in Taipei, said the same day that China had “seriously undermined regional stability,” according to a press release from Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Sometimes, there is a good reason to state the obvious.

The United Kingdom's vocal Reform UK Party chief, Nigel Farage, is well acquainted with this necessity. He's doing so now, in a warning to the United States, pointing out how mass "migration" has changed Britain, possibly beyond repair. And, he points out as well, the problem goes well beyond the British Isles.

Nigel Farage told Fox News Digital that mass migration has radically changed the country's makeup. The Reform UK leader argued that Britain’s political system is "completely broken" following Prime Minister Keir Starmer's resignation. Farage is calling for a new general election, predicting his party has "every chance of winning."

Speaking exclusively from the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship conference in London this week, a forum focused on debates over culture, Western civilization and Judeo-Christian values, Farage said Starmer’s downfall was not an isolated political event, but the latest aftershock of the Brexit revolt that upended British politics a decade ago.

"Ten years ago yesterday, we had a political earthquake in Britain. It was called Brexit," Farage said. "And the two old parties have never quite adapted to it."

Brexit, while a great idea, isn't the cause of Britain's real problems today. Mass illegal immigration is.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) vowed that “Anthony Fauci will answer to the American people” in an X post as he ramps up his investigation into the former top health official’s role in the federal response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Paul, who chairs the Senate Homeland Security Committee, said his investigation into COVID-19 origins has been blocked in the past but is now moving forward with broader access to records. Paul suggested that newly reviewed evidence and a subpoena for testimony will force answers to long-running questions about the pandemic and government-funded research.

“The investigation of COVID origins has been going on for several years,” Paul said on Fox News’s Sunday Futures with Maria Bartiromo. “The Biden administration’s stubbornness wouldn’t give us any of the documents. The Trump administration has been very cooperative; they’ve turned over virtually everything.”

Germany tried to bury a film, so Elon Musk handed it to the world instead.

The billionaire uploaded the full action thriller “Citizen Vigilante” to X this week after the movie was effectively barred from release in Germany. Musk, a critic of mass migration, made the entire feature viewable on his platform for 48 hours, according to the film’s official X account.

The film stars Armie Hammer as a man who turns to vigilante violence against criminals and corrupt officials after a personal tragedy, The Post Millennial reported. Directed by Germany’s Uwe Boll and released in the United States by Quiver, the movie drew condemnation over its depiction of migrants as violent offenders. No government decree shut the film down. Germany’s FSK rating board withheld any age classification, a designation known as “Kein Kennzeichen” that legally blocks a movie from theaters, retail shelves, and streaming services across the country, according to ReadySteadyCut.

Three U.S. government departments have urged American states and businesses to strengthen ties with Taiwan, saying such engagement is consistent with long-standing U.S. policy, despite pressure from China.

In joint letters, the State Department, Department of Agriculture, and Commerce Department said Chinese embassies and consulates have regularly contacted U.S. officials and companies to discourage cooperation with Taiwan, often by misrepresenting Washington’s policy.

“Taiwan is a vital US partner and democratic success story,” the departments said in a letter to U.S. governors.

“We hope you will take advantage of all the opportunities that our shared values and robust relationship with Taiwan offer.”

President Donald Trump must "bring the hammer down" on China to stop Beijing from supplying Iran with weapons and intelligence, China expert and author Gordon Chang told Newsmax on Sunday.

Appearing on "Sunday Agenda" with co-hosts Joe Pinion and Christina Thompson, Chang argued that China's support for Tehran has allowed Iran to continue confronting the United States despite repeated U.S. military strikes.

"China was supplying Iran during the war," Chang said.

"They supplied them, for instance, with targeting information that the Iranians used to kill six Americans on March 1."

Chang also alleged that Chinese military cargo planes landed in Iran during the conflict after turning off their transponders, saying Beijing continued providing weapons while helping sustain Iran's military capabilities.

"Iran, in a very real sense, is a Chinese proxy," he said. "The Chinese are now enjoying watching Iran defy the United States."

The comments came as tensions remain high after renewed fighting around the Strait of Hormuz threatened a fragile U.S.-brokered ceasefire.

President Donald Trump said Saturday night “the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist” if the United States is “forced to militarily complete the job” in Iran after the U.S. launched another round of retaliatory strikes against Tehran Saturday.

“It is very possible that they will never learn!” Trump said on Truth Social, referring to Iran twice launching drone attacks at commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz over the past two days. Iran also attacked Bahrain early Saturday morning.

“There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started,” he said. “If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!”

Rep. Nick Langworthy, R-N.Y., warned Saturday that the Democrat Party is being reshaped by what he described as an increasingly radical socialist movement, telling Newsmax that New York's recent primary results should serve as "a clear wake-up call" ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

Appearing on "Saturday Report," Langworthy backed President Donald Trump's characterization of newly elected Democrat Socialist candidates, saying Trump "hit the nail right on the head."

"This is now Zohran Mamdani's Democrat Party," Langworthy said.

"He meant what he said when he was going to transform New York, and now they're going to use this platform to try to transform America."

Langworthy argued Mamdani's influence extends beyond New York City, saying the Democrat nominee "put a hit out on three seats in the U.S. House of Representatives," adding that the movement "is not just limited to the Congress" but has spread throughout the New York State Legislature.

The U.S. struck Iran on Saturday in retaliation for its launching a drone attack around 4:30 a.m. today, according to a post from the U.S. Central Command.

CENTCOM said that the strikes were retaliation against Iran for a drone attack this morning. The drone attack targeted a Panama-flagged tanker traveling near the Strait of Hormuz that was hauling more than two million barrels of crude oil.

Iran was given a chance to keep the ceasefire agreement, but hasn't, CENTCOM said. The new U.S. strikes targeted Iranian military surveillance infrastructure, communication systems, air defense sites, drone storage facilities, and minelayer capabilities.

If Iran keeps violating the cease-fire agreement, President Donald Trump said that the U.S might "be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started," he said in a Truth Social post. "If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!"

What to know

* President Trump criticized Democrats for embracing communism after recent primaries in New York.
* He said communism has failed everywhere it has been tried.
* He stated that communism promises everything but takes from those who earn it.
* House Speaker Mike Johnson warned about radical candidates running for Congress.

OPINION:

President Trump in the last couple days and in response to the radical nutjobs elected in New York’s Democrat primaries, called out the party for its embrace of communists and said that despite communism’s unbroken record of failure in all the countries in which its been tried, the low information voters of the left were either too stupid to understand history, too stupid to care about history or too stupid to see the writing on the wall.

He didn’t actually call the Democrats nutjobs or talk about the stupidity of the Democrat Party’s voters. But it was implied.

That’s because these days, no matter how you slice it — socialism — communism — Marxism — progressivism — democratic socialism — Democrat — the common denominator of all is stupidity. 

Anyhow. This is what Trump actually said in a Truth Social post: “The communists are finally making their move. I’ve been waiting and preparing for this for a long time. It’s easy to be a communist. All you have to do is say, ‘I’ll give you everything,’ but that means you’re taking it away from others that have earned it.”

He also said separately, “Over thousands of years, that ideology has not worked once.”

Nope. Not once, Well — truthfully, if the goal is poverty, disease, disaster, destruction, devastation and death, then communism has indeed “worked.” It’s worked beautifully. But if it’s to spread the warmth, as New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has suggested, when he said during his inauguration that it’s high time Americans lose that rugged individualism and join in the “warmth of collectivism” — if it’s to spread that warmth, then communism, thy grade is perennially “F,’ for fabulously flunking Flunky McFlunk Face failure.

Democrats aren’t event democrats any more.

They are, as Trump has suggested, card-carrying commies.

“The Marxists have nominated some of the most radical candidates to ever run for office, and they’re running for Congress,” House Speaker Mike Johnson warned. “The insurgent left is on the rise.”

They call themselves anything but communists and Marxists. But communists and Marxists are what they are.

Democratic socialist Darializa Avila Chevalier, who just won the Democrat primary for a congressional seat, once bragged how she couldn’t find a napkin so she wiped her hands with the American flag. Democratic socialist Claire Valdez, who just won her own Democrat primary for a congressional seat, hasn’t met a tax she wouldn’t want to impose on the rich — nor a border agent she didn’t want to fire. Add in her hostility to all-things-Israel and voila, there’s the recipe for today’s modern Democrat Party. That is to say, democratic socialist. That is to say, communist-slash-Marxist. Former democrat socialist Brad Lander, who just won his own race against Democrats for a congressional seat, said his first act in Congress will be to “vanquish Trump’s fascism” — which tells all there is to know about Lander. But just in case: He, too, wants to abolish U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and he, too, thinks rich people are to blame for much of society’s ills (albeit not their money, which he aims to take and redistribute).

It’s crazy times in America — perilous times even. And if Americans don’t awaken to the fact that Democrats are not really democrats but rather boot-stomping, fascist-marching Marxists, well then, more nutjobs of the left will come to office, eventually come to the courts and soon after, the direction of America will be Venezuela. Or Cuba. Or China.

From Trump, on Truth: “America the Beautiful will NEVER be a Communist Country!!!”

With him in the White House, that promise likely holds true.

The same can’t be said for the unknowns to come — and God forbid if there’s a Democrat elected to the White House in 2028. A vote these days for a Democrat is a vote for a communist or Marxist. And since the party won’t acknowledge that, don’t expect the party to change that.

Commentary

The tentative “memorandum of understanding” with Iran has caused glee on the Left and furor among many on the Right. The Left might welcome “peace,” but surely not as much as it enjoys infighting on the Right over the details.

If last week Democrats were calling President Donald Trump a fascist warmonger, now they deride his peace efforts as those of a Neville Chamberlain patsy. Within 24 hours, the Left’s talking points shifted from a mad bomber-style Curtis LeMay in the White House to an impotent appeaser.

A week ago, some Republicans were arguing that not one of the prior seven presidents had dared to use force to stop Iran’s nuclear program. Now some of them are deriding him as an Iranian enabler.

More than 1,400 people have been confirmed dead as rescuers in Venezuela race against time to search for survivors after two powerful earthquakes struck the country this week.

Jorge Rodríguez, president of Venezuela’s National Assembly, said Saturday afternoon that the death toll had risen to 1,430.

Another 3,238 people were injured, he said, while more than 3,142 families were left homeless by the 7.2- and 7.5-magnitude earthquakes that struck Wednesday just 39 seconds apart. The country has now recorded 430 aftershocks, a factor that could complicate rescue operations.

Rodríguez said that many people are left too frightened to return home, even after inspections declared some buildings safe.

President Donald Trump sharpened his political knives against Democrats, portraying the party as on the precipice of being overrun by communists.

Trump took the opportunity presented by his appearance at the Faith & Freedom Coalition’s 2026 policy conference on Friday to underscore the risk created by candidates endorsed by New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani who usurped two sitting members of Congress this week and Democratic leadership for not being more forceful in its response.

“These are not social democrats, these are hardcore, godless communists,” he told the crowd. “This is the most serious threat to our country since its existence, in my opinion, 250 years ago. This is a major threat to our country.”

Iran launched a drone assault targeting Bahrain while a ship in the Strait of Hormuz separately came under attack Saturday, in Tehran's likely response to overnight airstrikes by the United States.

The attacks in the Persian Gulf show the danger of the Iran war again spinning out of control, even after Iran and the U.S. reached an interim deal to try and agree on a final accord to end the conflict.

The U.S. had launched airstrikes overnight in response to an Iranian drone attack on a container ship trying to leave the strait on Thursday, continuing a string of attacks that have shaken the war's uneasy ceasefire.

Meanwhile, a multinational maritime body overseen by the U.S. Navy said Saturday that it would expand a route near Oman in the strait to allow for both inbound and outbound traffic. That likely sets up a new flashpoint with Tehran, which sees the strait as a key source of leverage in ongoing talks with the U.S.

Former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson said Friday that Americans should be alarmed by what he described as a growing effort to erase the nation's religious foundations from classrooms and public discourse.

He said that children are receiving an incomplete account of U.S. history.

Speaking on Newsmax TV's "On the Record" with Greta Van Susteren, Carson responded to a new report commissioned by children's publisher Brave Books alleging that public libraries and publishers are censoring faith from America's history.

"Looking at the direction of the country, it should concern everybody," Carson said. "They should be asking, What's happening to our country? Why are we falling apart? Why are we fighting each other so vigorously?"

Carson, a former Republican presidential candidate, said the United States' founding principles distinguished it from other nations because the Declaration of Independence states that individual rights come from "our creator and not from government."

"That was a radical departure from any other governance structure that ever existed," Carson said. "What happened? We rose from obscurity to the pinnacle of the world, in rapid succession."

He questioned whether the nation's success was merely coincidental or the result of "the Judeo-Christian values that guided us along the way."

Carson said many students are being taught what he called a distorted version of American history that focuses primarily on the country's failures, including slavery, its treatment of Native Americans, and immigrants.

"They're being taught that America is an evil place," Carson said. "They don't go away with a good, warm feeling. And those are not people who are going to become patriotic Americans."

He urged parents and others to become more involved in shaping what children learn, saying criticism alone is insufficient.

"We can't just sit back and complain about it," Carson said. "We have to get in there and join the fight."

Carson invoked a quote commonly attributed to Russian revolutionary Vladimir Lenin, saying, "Give me your children to teach for four years, and the seeds that I sowed will never be uprooted."

He argued that supporters of traditional values should likewise work to influence the next generation.

"We need to be in there sowing seeds also and helping to realize who we are," Carson said.

Carson said he was not advocating for ignoring difficult chapters of American history but instead for presenting a more balanced account.

"I'm not talking about whitewashing anything," he said. "We need to teach our children the good, the bad, and the ugly. 

"There's a heck of a lot more good than there is bad and ugly. It's not fair the way the other side presents us."

Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) warned that the Democratic Party could be “in trouble” in the 2028 presidential election when it comes to securing the support of Latino voters if Secretary of State Marco Rubio is the Republican Party’s nominee.

“If Marco Rubio is the nominee to be president of the United States, we’re in trouble,” Gallego said before the Latino Vote Summit in Washington.

Rubio, who has not announced any plans yet, has been pitted as a likely 2028 contender alongside Vice President JD Vance by political pundits and President Donald Trump himself. Gallego, on the other hand, has also been seen as a likely candidate on the Democratic side of the 2028 ballot. Both Gallego and Rubio are Latinos and have been vocal about how important the Latino vote is to each party.

What to know

* The U.S. military struck Iranian missile and drone sites on Friday.
* This was in retaliation for attacks on a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.
* Iran used a one-way attack drone against the M/V Ever Lovely on Thursday.
* U.S. Central Command condemned Iran's aggression against commercial shipping.

The U.S. military on Friday struck missile and drone storage sites in retaliation for strikes against a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz that were blamed on Tehran.

U.S. Central Command also said it hit coastal radar sites after Iran struck the ship, the M/V Ever Lovely, on Thursday with a one-way attack drone.

“The unwarranted aggression against commercial shipping by Iranian forces clearly violated the ceasefire,” CENTCOM said. “Furthermore, Iran’s dangerous behavior undermined freedom of navigation as commerce increasingly flows through the vital international trade corridor.”

The statement echoed President Trump, who earlier called the drone strike a “foolish” violation of the memorandum of understanding he entered with Iran earlier this month.

The memo called for an end to the fighting and reopening of the Strait of Hormuz during 60 days of final-stage negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program and other matters.

Vice President J.D. Vance and Iranian negotiators recently finished the first round of talks in Switzerland, with the Trump administration saying Iran agreed to accept U.N. inspectors at sensitive nuclear sites and to buy American farm products with its unfrozen assets.

Iranian officials disputed that account, but the turmoil in the Strait of Hormuz is the biggest threat to the ceasefire that both sides entered through a memorandum of understanding earlier this month.

Mr. Trump said Friday that he was unhappy with Iran’s renewed aggression in the waterway and hinted at retaliation when a reporter asked about potential consequences.

Trump has stated that he has “waited and prepared” for the resurgence of communists for “a long time.” In his first public address since far-leftists won handedly in New York’s elections, Trump went even further by stating that their rise was “the most serious threat to our country since its existence.” He also warned that the mainstreaming of the communist ideology would mean greater persecution of Christians.

US military strikes Iran — in payback for ‘unwarranted’ drone attack on cargo ship

US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced Friday that American forces conducted military strikes on Iran in a “powerful response” to an Iranian drone attack on a commercial ship transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

Iranian drone storage facilities and coastal radar sites were hit by US warplanes in retaliation for the Thursday attack on the M/V Ever Lovely, a Singapore-flagged cargo ship.

“The unwarranted aggression against commercial shipping by Iranian forces clearly violated the ceasefire,” read a statement released by CENTCOM. “Furthermore, Iran’s dangerous behavior undermined freedom of navigation as commerce increasingly flows through the vital international trade corridor.”

The death toll from the twin earthquakes in Venezuela has risen to 920 people, with 4,300 injured, as foreign rescue teams arrived on Friday, two days after the powerful quakes devastated parts of the country.

A missing persons website shared by Venezuela’s opposition leaders listed more than 51,000 people as unaccounted for following two powerful earthquakes that devastated parts of the country.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Geological Survey estimated the disaster could ultimately claim more than 10,000 lives.

Officials confirmed that 235 bodies had been taken to medical facilities following the magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 earthquakes, which struck roughly 100 miles west of Caracas on Wednesday.

WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump described the influx of communism as the biggest danger to the nation on Friday while delivering the keynote address at the Faith and Freedom Coalition Conference.

“This is the greatest threat to our country, since its founding, in my opinion, 250 years ago,” Trump said. “It’s happening right now.”

The president cautioned the audience about communism’s insidious nature and its overarching plot to destroy religious liberty.

“They will close your churches in this country, if they go communist, and they’re trying to,” Trump said. “They will kill your people, and that’s what they’re about. They want to end religion, they have to end religion, because their ideology doesn’t work if you have strong religion.”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned that Iran's emerging plan to impose shipping fees in the Strait of Hormuz could generate up to $40 billion annually and spread to other global waterways, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

Rubio said the Iranian concept would effectively transform one of the world's most critical shipping lanes into a structured revenue system tied to transit access and maritime services.

He warned that if such a model is adopted, it could be replicated in other strategic chokepoints around the world "like a contagion," according to The Western Journal.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Iran's broader vision goes beyond informal ship-by-ship charges and instead involves a formalized toll-and-services framework tied to security, environmental oversight, and coordinated transit management.

The Journal reported that the system could generate up to $40 billion annually by monetizing traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical artery for global energy shipments.

Iran has reportedly floated the arrangement as a long-term governance structure for the waterway, potentially involving regional stakeholders in a revenue-sharing model tied to shipping access.

U.S. officials have strongly pushed back against the concept, arguing that international waterways must remain open and free of unilateral tolls or political conditions.

Rubio reiterated that the United States would not recognize any system that conditions passage through the Strait of Hormuz on payment or compliance with Iranian demands.
