James Comey's Tweet Following Trump Indictment Confirms the FBI Is 'Irredeemably Corrupt'

Former FBI Director James Comey was criticized Thursday over what appeared to be his reaction to news that former President Trump had been indicted by a Manhattan grand jury on charges related to his alleged involvement in a hush money payment scheme to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016.
The move, which critics argue is a politically motivated weaponization of the justice system, makes Trump the first former president to be criminally charged, though as law professor Jonathan Turley argued, he now likely won’t be the last given the standards in this case.
Comey, who was fired by Trump in 2017, took to Twitter for the first time in weeks to write, “It’s been a good day.”
While he turned off the replies, Comey got an earful in the quote-tweets.

‘Political Prosecution’: Legal Experts Rail Against Trump Indictment

* Legal experts called former President Donald Trump’s Thursday indictment “deeply flawed” and “patently political.”
* Clark Neily, senior vice president for Legal Studies at the Cato Institute, told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the indictment is a “shocking affront to the Constitution’s plan for limited government and the rule of law” that could “end up being an indictment of America’s criminal justice system as well.”
* Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, one of multiple red state attorneys general to slam the indictment, tweeted that the “radical left has consistently weaponized our courts to silence conservative voices.”

Legal experts reacted Thursday to the news of former President Donald Trump’s indictment, calling it a “legal disaster” and “deeply flawed.”
A Manhattan grand jury voted to indict the former president on Thursday after Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s investigation into his alleged payment of hush money to former porn star Stormy Daniels. The indictment is “patently political prosecution,” according to Jonathan Turley, Shapiro Chair of Public Interest Law at George Washington University. President Donald Trump has responded to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's decision to indict him and is planning to fight the charges. Here is his response in full:
“This is Political Persecution and Election Interference at the highest level in history. From the time I came down the golden escalator at Trump Tower, and even before I was sworn in as your President of the United States, the Radical Left Democrats - the enemy of the hard-working men and women of this Country - have been engaged in a Witch-Hunt to destroy the Make America Great Again movement. You remember it just like I do: Russia, Russia, Russia; the Mueller Hoax; Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine; Impeachment Hoax 1; Impeachment Hoax 2; the illegal and unconstitutional Mar-a-Lago raid; and now this."
“The Democrats have lied, cheated and stolen in their obsession with trying to ‘Get Trump,’ but now they’ve done the unthinkable - indicting a completely innocent person in an act of blatant Election Interference."
