Trump Responds to Maria Bartiromo Leaving Fox

‘Her fans, of which there are many, will not be happy,’ the president wrote.

President Donald Trump on Thursday responded to Fox News Media’s announcement that it parted ways with host Maria Bartiromo.

Fox, in an Sept. 3 statement, confirmed that Bartiromo’s 12-year-long tenure with the company is over, effective immediately. The company did not explain why she was let go, and the host has not issued a statement.

“I can’t believe Maria Bartiromo is no longer going to have her great show(s) on FoxNews/Business,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “Three different shows, always number one. Maria is a total professional, and a true warrior. Her fans, of which there are many, will not be happy.”

Fox News thanked the host for her work in a short statement. 

Her dismissal was one of the company’s most significant talent departures since former Fox News host Tucker Carlson left the network in 2023. Six years before that, it cut ties with former top host Bill O’Reilly.
