Trump Tells UN He Won’t Allow Global Governance

U.S. President Donald Trump told the United Nations on Tuesday that there is no global government and vowed there will be no global taxes while he is president.
Trump made the remarks at the U.N. General Assembly in New York, saying the United States had helped implement sweeping reforms at the international body, including a 15 percent cut to its 2026 budget and the elimination of more than 4,000 positions from U.N. bureaucracy.
“The United Nations has great potential, I’ve said that for many years, but it must stop imposing the far-left agenda of globalist bureaucrats who nobody ever elected,” he said.
Trump said his administration had to intervene last year to stop the International Maritime Organization, a U.N. body, from “secretly establishing a first-ever global carbon tax.”
