Chilling details revealed about Bali Nine executions

Chilling details have been revealed about the impending execution of the Bali 9 duo on death row in Indonesia.

Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran will be shot in a field, along with eight other prisoners.

"It will be done simultaneously with all 10 convicts," a spokesman for the country’s Attorney-General said.

Prisoners will then be placed in isolation cells on the penal island of Nusakambangan, also known as Indonesia’s Alcatraz

"It's just to separate those on death row who are to be executed from the rest of the prisoners," the spokesperson said.

The prisoners will then wait to be given a three-day notice of their execution, as required by Indonesian law.

Family, consular officials and spiritual advisers will have access to Chan and Sukumaran in their isolation cells, according to News Corp.

About 12 hours prior to their execution, they will be completely separated from all but their appointed spiritual advisers, if they choose to have them.

The condemned will be dressed in white clothing, taken out at night and an X marked on their heart.

They will be given three minutes to ‘calm down’ and will be tied to a pillar by their hands and feet in either a standing, kneeling or sitting positing.

Twelve officers will then shoot at the prisoners. If they do not die straight away the head of the firing squad will use a pistol to shoot directly into their head.

Doctors have been placed on standby and six extra coffins have been organised to carry the bodies of those executed.
