Son of Israeli Ambassador to the US Critically Injured in West Bank Ramming Attack

Twenty-nine-year-old Palestinian Mahmoud Muhammad Mahmoud Suleiman rammed a checkpoint in the West Bank Wednesday afternoon, critically injuring the son of the Israeli Ambassador to the U.S., Yechiel Leiter.
Neria Leiter, a reserve soldier, was manning the checkpoint, which is near the settlement of Beit Horon, and was rushed to a hospital in Jerusalem. The assailant was shot and killed at the scene.

Ambassador Leiter has already lost one son, Moshe Yedidya Leiter, who was killed in combat in northern Gaza in 2023. He said on social media that Neria needs a miracle:

Secretary of State Marco Rubio raised concerns with his Russian counterpart that the war in Ukraine could easily spill over into other regions through hybrid attacks or even genuine misunderstandings.
Speaking at a press conference at the U.N. General Assembly on Wednesday, Rubio said that the threat of a broadening conflict is increasingly serious amid hybrid attacks in Europe and elsewhere.

Rubio: US Needs Come First in Taiwan Arms Sales

U.S. arms sales to Taiwan are being weighed against America's own military requirements and the capacity of the U.S. defense industrial base, as lawmakers press the Trump administration to release billions of dollars in stalled security assistance to Taipei, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Wednesday, The Hill reported.
Rubio said the administration cannot consider weapons sales to Taiwan in isolation, because equipment transferred to foreign partners is equipment that is temporarily unavailable to American forces.
"People think … we view arm sales through the limited vacuum of the one particular place," Rubio told reporters at the U.N. General Assembly. "A lot of this also involves balancing our industrial capacity and our military industrial base."

U.S. President Donald Trump told the United Nations on Tuesday that there is no global government and vowed there will be no global taxes while he is president.
Trump made the remarks at the U.N. General Assembly in New York, saying the United States had helped implement sweeping reforms at the international body, including a 15 percent cut to its 2026 budget and the elimination of more than 4,000 positions from U.N. bureaucracy.
“The United Nations has great potential, I’ve said that for many years, but it must stop imposing the far-left agenda of globalist bureaucrats who nobody ever elected,” he said.
Trump said his administration had to intervene last year to stop the International Maritime Organization, a U.N. body, from “secretly establishing a first-ever global carbon tax.”

Former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt shared her playbook for handling bad press and lessons she learned from President Donald Trump.
“He’d be like, ‘Honey, I’ve been spinning up the press longer than you’ve been alive,” Leavitt said on Fox News Media’s Hang Out with Sean Hannity. “And he is right.”
Leavitt spoke with Hannity on a wide range of topics, including Trump’s interactions with reporters, being in the Situation Room during high-stakes operations, and what led to her decision to leave the high-profile role. Leavitt has often spoken on how the president would do well as his own press secretary.
“He taught me, you know, every news cycle comes and goes, like, this too shall pass,” Leavitt said. “And his resilience is remarkable. I mean, he has been through so much. More hatred, more adversity than any politician ever in our nation’s history.”

President Donald Trump said Cuba was a failed state and freedom would be coming to the Communist-run island in a U.N. address Tuesday that touted greater U.S. involvement in the region.
"My administration is also seeking a fundamental change in the situation in Cuba, where the communist regime is under great pressure-the biggest pressure they've ever been under. It's an absolutely failed State, it's failing like never before, and it will fall," Trump said in his speech to the U.N. General Assembly.
"Communism will never be coming to America, but freedom will be coming to Cuba."

President Donald Trump and the leaders of Denmark and Greenland inked a deal the president called “long in the making” to allow the United States to put two military bases the large island between the United States and Europe.
The president said during his earlier remarks at the United Nations General Assembly that the agreement “gives the United States permanent control over security and all other needs on that territory.”

One of the famous Murphy's Laws of Combat items is this: "Take more than your fair share of objectives, and you'll be given more than your fair share of objectives to take." That applies in non-military circles, too; just as our Secretary of State Marco Rubio has been the subject of a lot of good-natured ribbing in the last few months, mostly with the "couch" memes, showing him wearing a variety of getups in accordance with whatever the latest task or position President Trump has asked him to take on. Now, though, one of them has been made official and permanent: Marco Rubio is now not only Secretary of State but also National Security Advisor, the first person to hold both roles simultaneously since Henry Kissinger.

Trump recently signed a commission formally making Rubio his national security adviser, a senior State Department official, White House official and senior administration official confirmed to Fox News Digital on Tuesday.

President Donald Trump revealed a major decision he is considering in the conflict with Iran during his Sept. 22 address to the U.N. General Assembly.
In his speech, Trump reiterated his administration’s position that Iran cannot be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon and outlined how the U.S. military has targeted Iran’s navy, missile capabilities, and nuclear development.
“But now I have a big decision to make: Will a deal be made with Iran that lets them rebuild and create a far greater country than it ever was before, maybe one of the greatest in the Middle East or even the world?” Trump said on Sept. 22.
“Or do I annihilate the Islamic Republic and do it quickly, never giving them a chance to kill and destroy people and countries again? Do I drive them into hell with no chance of survival and no hope of future greatness or generations?”
