The Kamala Harris Campaign Is Collapsing

The Kamala Harris campaign is collapsing across the board. That was the case even before the horrific news from San Francisco.

That news is that the first-round draft choice of the San Francisco 49ers was just shot in broad daylight in a “safe” and “upscale” section of San Francisco. As the initial information about that shocking crime filtered out, I heard from three political operatives that this would reflect very badly on Kamala Harris. Their immediate reasoning is that former President Donald J. Trump and his campaign have very effectively tied “Comrade Kamala” to the increasing failures of crime and drug-infested San Francisco and California.

Often, busy, hardworking voters don’t pay attention to an issue until a lightbulb is lit above their heads, illuminating the threats facing them and their families. The shooting of the 49ers' first-round draft choice was more like a floodlight than a lightbulb.

Now, not only will millions of Americans tie that shooting to the failed far left and Marxist policies of Harris, but they will ask themselves one of the most important questions of their lives: “How soon before the violent criminals Kamala Harris has let in, coddled, and enabled come to my city, town, or neighborhood?”

Joe Biden is back at the White House, and on Tuesday, he delivered remarks about "Investing in America." Translation: He's trying to convince people that he's actually done something good with his economic policy while occupying office. I don't think a lot of the public is going to see or hear his remarks, and those who do aren't likely to believe him because they've been living in reality under Bidenomics for the past three-plus years. So, I'm not really sure what the purpose of this is.

However, the first thing that was noticeable when he showed up for his remarks and sat at the tiny desk on the stage that they've built for him was that he was breathing heavily.

A former aide to former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and current Gov. Kathy Hochul was arrested Tuesday morning on charges of violating and conspiring to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), visa fraud, alien smuggling, and money laundering conspiracy. The former aide, Linda Sun, is accused of acting on behalf of the People's Republic of China and the Chinese Communist Party, to further their interests in the United States. Her husband, Chris Hu, was also arrested and charged with money laundering conspiracy, as well as conspiracy to commit bank fraud and misuse of means of identification.

Sun was the Chief of Staff for Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY) when Meng was a member of the New York State Assembly, then worked for Cuomo in multiple positions: Director of Asian American Affairs, Deputy Chief Diversity Officer, and Deputy Superintendent for Intergovermental Affairs and Chief Diversity Officer. After Hochul took office in August 2021 Sun became Deputy Chief of Staff, then left that job in November 2022 to become the Deputy Commissioner for Strategic Business Development at the New York State Department of Labor.

Christie M. Curtis, Acting Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI's New York Field Office, said:

“As alleged in the indictment, Linda Sun, a former New York State government employee, acted as an undisclosed agent of the Chinese government while her husband, Christopher Hu, facilitated the transfer of millions of dollars in kickbacks for personal gain. Sun wielded her position of influence among executives to covertly promote PRC and CCP agendas, directly threatening our country’s national security."

The former high-ranking aide for Gov. Kathy Hochul and disgraced Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who was arrested along with her husband Tuesday, acted as a foreign agent for China in exchange for millions of dollars in kickbacks and fancy perks such as salted ducks, according to a bombshell indictment.

The damning 64-page indictment accuses Linda Sun, 41, and her husband, Christopher Hu, 40, of reaping their corrupt gains on a gaudy new $4 million house in Manhasset, a $2 million second home in Honolulu high-rise and luxury cars such as 2024 Ferrari.

Sun shadily used her position under Hochul and Cuomo – who are unnamed but clearly referenced in the court documents – to turn the governor’s office into a virtual mouthpiece for the People’s Republic of China and Chinese Community Party, the indictment contends.

Nothing infuriates Donald Trump’s opponents more than his refusal to go along with their attempts at twisting reality. Democrats masquerading as journalists over the weekend latched onto a newly contrived legend about the former president’s men engaging in fisticuffs at Arlington National Cemetery while Mr. Trump supposedly trampled on the memories of fallen heroes.

“Donald Trump’s team chose to film a video there, resulting in an altercation with cemetery staff,” Vice President Kamala Harris wrote on X. “Let me be clear: the former president disrespected sacred ground, all for the sake of a political stunt.”

Nothing the vice president wrote is true. It was a tale cooked up by media allies to cover for a common weakness on the left: the perception that Democrats don’t care about the troops. President Biden demonstrates the attitude every time he looks at his watch during ceremonies meant to honor veterans.

Lack of concern had deadly consequences three years ago when the Biden-Harris administration cut and ran from Afghanistan without planning a proper retreat. The Americans’ exit left the Taliban with a trove of sophisticated U.S. weapons and equipment worth $7 billion.

FBI investigators dangled a few scraps of information last week about the July 13 attempt to assassinate Donald Trump. This included photos of the tools used in the crime — material that could have and should have been shared weeks ago.

Despite ample passage of time, federal officials continue to dodge questions about the lapses in security that allowed Thomas Matthew Crooks to fire eight shots that struck the former president’s ear, killed Corey Comperatore and severely wounded two others.

In a briefing with select reporters, FBI spokesmen continued tailoring their account of Crooks’ motives, now describing them as “mixed.” Given FBI Director Chris Wray’s shameful attempt in late July to imply that Mr. Trump wasn’t shot at all, the bureau’s judgment on these matters remains suspect. The FBI should release the facts and let the public judge for itself.

Perhaps this is why Mr. Rowe has yet to allow Congress to hear from the Pittsburgh agents. House Speaker Mike Johnson needs to wield congressional subpoena power with the same determination Democrats did when they were in charge to get answers. Without the application of substantial pressure, the administration will continue holding back.

After all, it’s a story of the administration’s failure and the courage of the politician who wants to drain incompetent bureaucrats from the swamp.

That’s why it’s a story Mr. Trump’s opponents want buried.

Alas, an Aug. 14 Media Research Center survey confirms that most 2020 Biden-Harris voters know shockingly little about her far-Left record.

Staggering majorities of the 800 registered Democrats and 400 independents in McLaughlin & Associates’ poll were stunningly unfamiliar with Kamala’s neo-Marxist words and deeds.

Last week’s Democrat National Convention taught her voters far more about Kamala’s passion for cooking than about her extremist statements and actions:

Jon Voight, Oscar-winning actor and star of the biopic "Reagan," said former President Ronald Reagan's faith was instrumental in his battle against communism, Breitbart reported.

Voight, known for his conservative views, recently discussed the enduring threat of communism, drawing parallels between the past and present. He said Reagan's unwavering faith was crucial in his successful fight against communism during the Cold War.

According to Voight, these same principles are vital in combating what he sees as a resurgence of communism in the U.S.

In an interview with "The Christian Post," Voight reflected on Reagan's early influences, crediting his mother, Nelle, and his childhood pastor for instilling a deep faith in the future president.

"What he had was basically the words of his mother when he was a child: staying in touch with God and believing in the principles of our founding; that's what served him all his life, so he was able to see right from wrong," Voight said.

Vice President Kamala Harris held onto her slight polling lead but failed to see a boost after the Democratic National Convention in August, according to an ABC News/Ipsos poll from Sunday.

Harris’ lead over former President Donald Trump has remained essentially unchanged at 50% support among registered voters while the Republican nominee brought in 46% support, according to the poll. However, voters still trust Trump over Harris to handle key issues like the economy and immigration going into November. (RELATED: Trump Has Had Years To Chip Away At A Key Dem Voting Bloc. “The race between them remains close, with no overall bounce in support for Harris out of her nominating convention, albeit with a wider gender gap,” Gary Langer, president of Langer Research Associates, said in a statement. “Trump, too, was bounce-free after his convention in July, indicating the locked-in nature of their highly polarized contest as it enters its final two months.”

Former President Donald Trump recalled Saturday the moment that former First Lady Melania Trump and their 18-year-old son Barron learned of the assassination attempt on his life.

Thomas Matthew Crooks shot the former president in the upper right portion of his ear during a July 13 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, moments before a sniper fatally shot him. Trump told Fox News’ Mark Levin that Melania watched the moment live on television, while Barron was at his tennis lesson.

“[Melania] was watching it on television and Barron was outside having a tennis lesson. He’s a good tennis player, he was outside playing tennis and somebody ran up, ‘Barron, Barron, your father’s been shot,” Trump said. “He went, and he loves his father, he’s a good kid, good student, good athlete, actually. And he ran, ‘Mom, what’s going on?’ She couldn’t believe it. She was actually watching it live, can you imagine? And I got up, and let people know I was okay.”
