Rep. Steube to Newsmax: Wouldn't Be Shocked If COVID Leak Intentional

Rep. Greg Steube, R-Fla., says he wouldn't be surprised if the novel coronavirus was an "intentional leak."
"They know it came from the lab. They just don’t want to admit it because Biden and his family are completely compromised when it comes to China," Steube said Thursday during an appearance on Newsmax’s "Wake Up America."
"We released a report that it came from the lab. I actually think the question now is the China intentionally release COVID-19 on the world, or was this something that accidentally leaked?

"Look, you had Trump coming into his reelection. They hated President Trump because of the policies that he took strong on China, would love nothing more than having somebody like Biden, who’s compromised in the White House, so it would not shock me at all, and if that is the fact then this administration and our government needs to act accordingly — so does the rest of the world, quite frankly — so does NATO, the U.N., the World Health Organization that’s basically run by the Chinese Communist Party.
"We need to take a strong action against that type of release from the Chinese Community Party if that, in fact is true," he added.

Rep. Comer to Newsmax: Democrats Are All for Censoring Conservative Speech

Democrats are in support of silencing conservative speech, Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., told Newsmax Wednesday.
In response to Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., accusing Comer in a committee hearing of telling AT&T and DirecTV to either restore Newsmax or “face the consequences,” Comer told “Prime News” that Democrats “are all for censoring conservative speech now. If they were censoring MSNBC, Raskin would be going crazy right now.”
“The Democrats always feel threatened by the truth,” Comer said. “We have conservative media outlets that report the truth, and the truth is, we have inflation because Democrats have spent too much money. We have crime because Democrats are lax on security, border security; they're lax with prosecuting criminals. The list goes on and on.”

Rep. Dusty Johnson to Newsmax: DirecTV Acting Like Communist China

Rep. Dusty Johnson, R-S.D., told Newsmax on Wednesday that AT&T-owned DirecTV's decision to drop the conservative news network from its channel lineup is akin to how the Chinese Communist Party controls the media narrative in its country.
"The Chinese Communist Party, that government understands how powerful news is; and they don't want the citizens of China to have access to a diverse set of news voices," Johnson told "National Report." "You get one carefully curated set of news that the government signed off on.
"In this country, thank goodness, we have a robust and diverse set of views represented among news stations. Newsmax is a critically important part of that landscape because if you all weren't accessible and available, that diversity would go down a lot because Newsmax has an incredibly valuable perspective that is right of center, that is not well represented elsewhere."
