Donald Trump has revealed that his infamous wall will be more of a fence
The President-elect frequently condemned the country's immigration policy during his campaign for the White House, promising to build a wall along the Mexican border in a bid to stop immigrants, who he branded "rapists" and "murderers", from travelling to the US from Mexico.
But the 70-year-old, who had even pledged to force Mexico into funding the construction, recently back-pedalled on the promise of a "wall" – instead revealing the structure will actually be a fence.
Now the brazen billionaire has revealed his comprehensive plan to deal with the country's immigration. The plan includes:
Build a wall on the southern border
Mr Trump has the legal authorisation to build fences along the country's border with Mexico under the "Secure Fence Act", passed in 2006.
But Congress will have to approve considerable funding to wall off the entire southern border – which spans nearly 2,000 miles.
