Melbourne beefs up security as fourth man denied bail over alleged Christmas terror plots

A fourth man has been denied bail over the plotting of alleged terrorist acts at key Melbourne landmarks on Christmas Day.

Ibrahim Abbas' appearance comes one day after another three accused men fronted the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court in connection to the alleged terror plots targeting Flinders Street Station, Federation Square and St Paul’s Cathedral.

Ahmed Mohammed, 24, of Meadow Heights and Abdullah Chaarani, 26, from Dallas in Melbourne's north, and Hamza Abbas, 21, from Flemington were all denied bail on Friday after they faced charges over thealleged Melbourne terror plot.
