President celebrates hometown baseball team’s World Series win as ‘a comeback story for the ages’

President Trump welcomed the Washington Nationals to the White House, celebrating the hometown team’s World Series win as “a comeback story for the ages.”
The jubilant mood Monday was a contrast to Mr. Trump’s appearance at Game 5 of the series at Nationals Park in Washington, when he received a cool reception from the fans, facing boos and a “lock him up” chant. The president tweeted his congratulations to the team after they won the title a few nights later.
