‘Lied Numerous Times’: GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy Blasts Adam Schiff

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said Thursday that he believes that Rep. Adam Schiff has “lied numerous times” during his tenure as chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, including about his knowledge of the Trump whistleblower.

“I think Adam Schiff has lied numerous times. I do not think Adam Schiff is fit to be in this position of running the Intel committee,” McCarthy told reporters at a weekly press briefing.

McCarthy accused Schiff — whom he referred to repeatedly as “Adam Shift” — of lying throughout the Trump-Russia investigation, as well as during the impeachment inquiry.
