‘Worsening conditions’: Firefighters and residents in QLD, NSW brace for coming days
The US fire brigade has sent in its best fire fighting tanker, which can drop 35,000 litres of water from the sky in just eight seconds.

A fourth victim of the NSW bushfires has been found in bushland beside a road while Queensland firefighters are making the most of a brief weather reprieve to strengthen containment lines.
Emergency aircraft have also been front and centre in NSW with a tanker able to hold 35,000 litres of water or retardant on its way Down Under.

QUEENSLAND BUSHFIRES
A number of “leave now” warnings from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services were in place on Thursday morning including Woodgate, south of Bundaberg, Black Snake at Kilkivan in Gympie and Noosa North Shore on the Sunshine Coast.
A slow-moving fire in Peachey near Toowoomba is also expected to have a significant impact on the community with a “prepare to leave” warning issued, QFES said.
