Rep. Gallagher to Newsmax: Let's Call Dems What They Are, Communists

Rep. James Gallagher, R-Calif., told Newsmax on Saturday that socialism is gaining influence within the Democratic Party, warning voters against promises of government-funded services while also defending the Trump administration’s approach toward Iran.
''Oh no. I think it is growing in the Democratic Party, and it’s a scary thing,'' Gallagher said on Newsmax’s ''Saturday Agenda.'' ''Let’s call these guys what they really are: communists.''
Gallagher argued that progressive policies would ultimately lead to greater government control and higher costs.
''They want total control over your property, over your life,'' he said. ''They want to take your wealth and redistribute it to their select few. That is their game plan.''
