North Korea Tests U.S. as Tillerson Meets Chinese Leaders

Pyongyang claims to have successfully tested a new high-thrust rocket engine

U.S. officials offered a muted response to North Korea’s assertion over the weekend that it had successfully tested a new high-thrust rocket engine, as the Trump administration worked to determine the accuracy of Pyongyang’s claim.

The test, if successful, would mark another advancement that could inch North Korea closer to being able to fire a long-range missile with the potential to reach the U.S.
