Charlie Hebdo: Gunman's partner may already be in Syria

Elite French police have stormed a printworks and a Jewish supermarket, killing two brothers wanted for the Charlie Hebdo attack and a gunman linked to them in a dramatic end to twin sieges that rocked France.

Key points

* Two suspects wanted in the Charlie Hebdo attack have been killed in a shoot-out with police, after taking a hostage inside a printing house northeast of Paris. Hostage is reportedly freed.
* Another female suspect remains on the run
* Brothers Cherif Kouachi and Said Kouachi were suspected of killing 12 people in the attack on the satirical magazine in Paris.
* One of the two brothers is believed to have trained with al-Qaeda in Yemen.
* Four hostages held in a siege at a kosher grocery store in Porte de Vincennes were found dead in the aftermath of the assualt by police, and the gunman was killed.
* The grocery store gunman was suspected of gunning down a policewoman in southern Paris on Thursday, and it is believed he had links to the Kouachi brothers.

* There are reports a second gunman escaped.

Photo: Hayat Boumeddiene, the partner of the Paris store siege gunman, arrived in Turkey before the killings and may be in Syria, a Turkish security source says.
