AS FRESH allegations surfaced about Dominique Strauss-Kahn's turbulent private life, France suggested yesterday that the politician could serve any sentence in his homeland if he is convicted in New York.
The former chief of the International Monetary Fund could face a sentence of 25 years for the alleged attempted rape of a hotel chambermaid.
Claude Gueant, the French Interior Minister and President Sarkozy's closest adviser, said that if convicted "he should serve his sentence in France".
There were further claims that Mr Strauss-Kahn had paid "hush money" to a woman in Washington to secure her silence over an affair. Leaks from the police investigation into the alleged attempted rape nine days ago suggest that Mr Strauss-Kahn made advances to two other members of staff at the Sofitel, New York, during his stay there.
Anne Sinclair, Mr Strauss-Kahn's wife, has to find a place where he may be kept under house arrest. He spent the weekend at an address on Broadway as a guest of the security company that has been employed to guard him around the clock. Ray Ratermann, general manager at 71 Broadway, wrote to residents explaining that "we have been assured that he will only be staying here until early next week".

Dân VN còn tiếp tục cúi đầu để lũ súc sinh csVN chà đạp, đè đầu cỡi cổ có NHỤC ???
