News agency publishes bloody photos from inside compound
Global news agency Reuters has released photos it says are from inside Osama bin Laden's compound just an hour after the US assault, showing the bloody bodies of three men. Due to the graphic nature of the pictures we are not including them in this video.
Graphic photos of bodies in pools of blood in the compound where Osama bin Laden was shot dead by US special forces have been provided to Reuters and posted on the newsagency's website.
The photos show the corpses of three Pakistani men killed by US Navy Seals when they stormed the Abbottabad compound early on Monday morning, eastern Australian time.

Reuters said the pictures were taken by a Pakistani security official about an hour after the raid.
They show the men lying face-up with blood streaming from their ears, noses and mouths. Two are dressed in traditional Pakistan white dress and the third in a white T-shirt.
No weapons are visible in the photographs.
Publication of the pictures comes as US President Barack Obama announced he would not be making images of bin Laden's body public for fear that it would incite violence against US troops and citizens abroad.
The Reuters pictures are certain to spark further controversy, raising doubts about what sort of force the hit squad faced when it touched down at the compound.
The US account is that they were immediately engaged in a fierce firefight that lasted 40 minutes as they made their way to the top of the three-storey building where they found bin Laden.
He was unarmed, but was shot twice, in the chest and head.
Reuters said the Pakistani official, who asked to remain anonymous, had sold the pictures to the agency.
Time stamps on the photos suggest the first was taken on Monday at 2.30am.
Other photos provided by the official, which were taken after daybreak, show remains of the helicopter that the US squad was forced to abandon after it "stalled".
Reuters said it was confident of the authenticity of the photos because details in the photos appear to show a wrecked helicopter from the assault, matching details from photos taken independently on Monday.
The pictures are also taken in sequence and are all the same size in pixels, indicating they have not been tampered with, Reuters said. The time and date in the photos as recorded in the digital file's metadata match lighting conditions for the area as well as the time and date imprinted on the image itself.
A Reuters spokeswoman refused to comment on the reason behind the agency's decision to release the pictures.
