Mysterious foam floods Japanese city after multiple earthquakes

Video Mysterious foam emerges after deadly earthquake
A Japanese city was left covered in a mysterious layer of foam following a deadly earthquake that struck the island of Kyushu.
The foam appeared on the streets of Fukuoka last Thursday after the first 6.5-magnitude quake.

Videos show the white substance, which has made the city look like a scene from Ghostbusters.
On April 14 the island was hit by multiple earthquakes, which devastated the city and killed 41 people.
Tazuki Nabeta of Tenjin told The Independent it was visible just after the earthquake.

“People were posting pictures on Twitter and it was near my house, so I went out to have a look.”
There’s no official explanation as to why the foam occurred, however it appears to be linked to the first quake.
