(London Daily Mail) One of the world’s most wanted Nazis who sent more than 140,000 European Jews to the gas chambers was secretly employed by Syria as an agent of terror, declassified US files show.

Alois Brunner, the right-hand man of leading Holocaust architect Adolf Eichmann, is believed to have served as an adviser to then President Hafez al-Assad.
