The Trump administration’s negotiations with Russia over ending the war in Ukraine have expanded into discussions surrounding a multibillion-dollar sale of Russian oil giant Lukoil’s international assets, the New York Times reported on Saturday.

The prospective investors of the colossal deal include business figures connected to U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff and President Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.

The proposed transaction, which still requires approval from Washington and Moscow, would cover oil fields, refineries, and gas stations around the world.
