Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi won his resounding re-election last week after a campaign rife with bragging about how tough he has been on archenemy Pakistan.

Now, with a second five-year term, the 68-year-old leader has an opportunity to look toward his legacy, said a senior Indian official and experts on Indian affairs. For any Indian leader, the big prize is ending the seven-decade enmity with Pakistan.
