China preps massive censorship ahead of Tiananmen Square massacre anniversary

For centuries, the Great Wall of China kept out invaders.
Now, the country’s rulers are counting on a “Great Firewall of Regulation’’ to block social media and the internet as China prepares for the 30th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre, the Sunday Times of London reports.
At least 280 demonstrators seeking democracy were shot dead by Chinese troops on June 4, 1989. Some reports put the figure as high as 10,454.
