Air Force One heads to Houston to carry George H.W. Bush to D.C.

President Trump will send Air Force One to Houston on Monday to carry former President George H.W. Bush’s body to Washington, DC, where it will lie in state at the US Capitol — the first of four days of events honoring the 41st president.

Bush’s remains will leave Houston at 10:30 a.m. local time Monday en route to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.

The casket is expected to arrive at 3:30 p.m. and will be taken to the US Capitol Rotunda, where it will lie in state from 5 p.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Wednesday.
