Malcolm Turnbull still confident of victory, Bill Shorten declares 'Labor is back'
Malcolm Turnbull says he believes the Coalition will be able to form majority government, but Bill Shorten has declared the Liberals have "lost their mandate" in an election which is too close to call.
Early on Sunday morning, with 75 per cent of the vote counted, the Coalition and Labor were effectively deadlocked, raising the spectre of a hung parliament.
