OTTAWA -- The Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement could face a setback after Canada's federal election Monday, with the first new government in 10 years promising a thorough inspection of the deal reached by the outgoing administration.

The center-left Liberal Party won a majority, ending Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper's hopes for a fourth term. Liberal leader Justin Trudeau will become the next prime minister.
