Pop star Taylor Swift set social media ablaze when she endorsed Kamala Harris for president after Tuesday’s debate. Now comes former race car driver Danica Patrick cautioning fans about placing their trust in the 14-time Grammy winner.

Patrick claimed that Ms. Swift’s endorsement was carefully considered to maximize her influence, not a reflection of the debate.

“There’s no way that long post was ready right after the debate,” Ms. Patrick, 42, wrote on Instagram. “I have been on the other side, that was probably written and revised by a team over the last week. AKA. A plan.”
