Speaker Mike Johnson Orders Flags at Capitol Flown at Full-Staff to Celebrate Trump's Inauguration Day

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has issued a statement declaring flags will be flown at full-staff at the Capitol for Donald Trump's inauguration on Monday.
Liberals aren't going to be "giddy" anymore once they hear this news.
Johnson's office issued the statement earlier today, a response to a potential conflict between traditional Inauguration Day decorum and the rare necessity to honor the passing of a former president in Jimmy Carter.
The Speaker has come up with a compromise.
“On January 20th, the flags at the Capitol will fly at full-staff to celebrate our country coming together behind the inauguration of our 47th President, Donald Trump," he said.
"The flags will be lowered back to half-staff the following day to continue honoring President Jimmy Carter.”

A reasonable compromise by any measuring stick. Well, unless you're a liberal who was hoping the silver lining in Carter's death was that he'd somehow ruin Trump's big day. And yes, those people were out there.
