‘Blatant Election Interference’: Gregg Jarrett Roasts Jack Smith’s ‘Irrelevant’ Filing As ‘Bad Detective Fiction’

Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett compared special counsel Jack Smith’s lengthy filing to “bad detective fiction” Thursday, accusing Smith of trying to influence the Nov. 5 presidential election.
United States District Judge Tanya Chutkan of the District of Columbia released Smith’s brief in the federal election interference case against former President Donald Trump, which sought to address the Supreme Court’s July 1 ruling regarding presidential immunity, Wednesday evening. “Yeah, he’s trying to have a damning trial of Trump without a trial, in the face of the fact that he couldn’t get a trial before the election,” Jarrett said. “And, you know, releasing this motion, this court filing, it sure looks like blatant election interference.”
