Rudy Giuliani to Newsmax: Ga. DA Willis Belongs in Jail, Not Me

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani told Newsmax on Wednesday he is not surprised about the controversy surrounding Democrat Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who has been accused of improperly hiring an alleged romantic partner to prosecute him and former President Donald Trump.

Giuliani, Trump, and 13 other defendants are being prosecuted by Willis on charges related to allegedly trying to subvert Georgia's 2020 election results. Giuliani and Trump pleaded not guilty in the case and have denied any wrongdoing.

"I would find it fully expected for Atlanta and Fulton County, which is one of the most corrupt places in America, which is the reason why it was quite reasonable for Donald Trump to believe they stole the election," Giuliani told "Carl Higbie FRONTLINE." "It would be unusual if they didn't try to steal. They are systemically corrupt in that city, and this kind of proves it."
