Fox News outdraws CNN, MSNBC again, extending win streak to 212 straight months

Fox News Channel finished as the most-watched basic cable network among total day viewers in August to keep its 38-month win streak alive, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Fox News was the only network to average more than one million total day viewers, averaging 1.4 million while MSNBC finished second with an average of 870,000. Nickelodeon finished third, followed by CNN and HGTV.

FNC has now topped the liberal cable news organizations MSNBC and CNN for a staggering 212 consecutive months.

Fox News also topped all of basic cable during the primetime hours of 8-11 p.m. ET, averaging 2.4 million viewers while second-place MSNBC finished with 1.5 million. Despite finishing second, MSNBC has its lowest-rated primetime since President Trump took office.
