Anti-EU Conservative lawmakers haven’t gathered enough support to trigger a no-confidence vote

A campaign to oust British Prime Minister Theresa May from office has stalled, as rebel Conservative lawmakers opposing her Brexit plan struggled to mount a leadership contest, affording her some respite ahead of the next leg of negotiations over the U.K.’s exit from the European Union.
Since Mrs. May presented her Brexit deal last week, a cluster of anti-EU lawmakers have intensified a drive to see her removed from office in a bid to derail a plan they strongly oppose. The lawmakers need Tory lawmakers to send 48 letters...
