Risk of Japan radiation fading: report

QUICK SUMMARY FULL STORY
The danger of explosions or major radiation leaks from the Fukushima nuclear reactor has passed, according to an administration official quoted in the Wall Street Journal.
"There is no way Tokyo or Kyoto will come into harm's way," Goshi Hosono, the prime minister's special adviser for the accident, was quoted as saying.
Radiation levels within the damaged reactors are still high, and this week the Japanese government tightened evacuation policy in the surrounding area.
The WSJ also reported Tokyo Electric Power Co had let pressure in one reactor climb far beyond the level the facility was designed to withstand, a decision that may have worsened the nuclear accident.
Tepco is battling with a tumbling share value and an uncertain future in the wake of the major earthquake and tsunami that rocked Japan six weeks ago.
