Government rejects Huang Xiangmo’s citizenship application, revokes residence visa

CANBERRA, Australia – Australia rejected a prominent Chinese political donor’s application for citizenship and canceled his residence visa while he was overseas, a senior government official said, as the country seeks to curb foreign influence in its internal affairs.
