Artificial Intelligence (AI), the ability of computer systems to perform tasks normally associated with human intelligence, is sweeping the world.
As Bloomberg reports, AI has moved from the edges of technology to "becoming a hub of economic activity that is powering hardware, cloud platforms, advertising, gaming, and enterprise services."
It further notes that the collection, use, and reach of AI is expanding across multiple industries such as healthcare, retail, and financial services, improving productivity and reshaping long-standing business models.

American business executives seemingly believe outsourcing jobs to India, the Philippines, or Mexico can provide more significant profit margins than hiring Americans in Florida, Utah, Kansas, or South Carolina.
Will those same executives now use AI to eliminate and totally automate even those foreign outsourced jobs already replacing Americans - putting American workers even deeper in the aftermath, that is the AI burial ground?
Until American companies make a real effort to train and employ Americans for the positions now outsourced, and until our educational system provides them with a qualified talent pool, get used to talking to "Tommy" in the Philippines and robot-sounding employees with English-sounding aliases.

Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu have perceptibly dim views of the European Union (EU), and those perceptions appear to be affirmed by a procession of high-level corruption scandals lately emergent on the European continent.
President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu possess like-minded views on a range of topics, including the negative views each has on the EU and its Brussels-based institutions.
Thus, the relationship the Trump administration and the Netanyahu government have with the EU (and its institutions) can be charitably described as "strained."

Dershowitz to Newsmax: Arctic Frost Echoes McCarthyism

Revelations about former special counsel Jack Smith's investigation into President Donald Trump raise serious ethical and legal questions, Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax on Thursday, while comparing the scrutiny of Republican donors and supporters to McCarthyism.
Appearing on "The Record With Greta Van Susteren," Dershowitz responded to disclosures by Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, that Smith's office and the Biden Department of Justice obtained information involving at least 639,000 Republican donors, voters, and supporters during the Arctic Frost investigation.
"Well, this sounds to me like they were just throwing it against the wall and hoping some of it would stick, that they didn't really have a very firm basis for violating the rights of innocent individuals," Dershowitz said.
"They were just hoping that maybe something would come up that would give them a basis for proceeding."
Dershowitz described the investigation as an example of "show me the man, and I'll find you the crime."
"The job of the special counsel was to get Trump, without a doubt, and the means used to get him were up to him," he said. "And he used various means that are now subject to real questions, ethically and legally."
Dershowitz said he hoped Congress and legal ethics committees would pursue those questions.

DOJ Seeks to Block 20K Calif. Ballots Over Citizenship

The Justice Department sued California on Thursday, asking a federal judge to stop the state from counting mail-in ballots from more than 20,000 registered voters federal officials say are likely not U.S. citizens.
The lawsuit names the state; Secretary of State Shirley Weber, a Democrat; and Los Angeles County's top election official, Dean Logan. It was filed in federal court in California.
It asks the court to bar officials from counting those voters' mail ballots in federal races "until those individuals' citizenship status can be verified." The Nov. 3 midterm election is less than three weeks away.

Rep. Lawler to Newsmax: 'We Are Going to Win in 19 Days'

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk denied reports that the company curbed its military-oriented Starshield satellite internet service in Ukraine, saying any limits on the service would have been imposed by the U.S. military.
“Starshield systems are owned and controlled by the US government,” Musk wrote on X on Oct. 14. “Any limits on speed or usage are decided by the US military and ultimately POTUS.”
Ukrainian officials on Oct. 14 began raising the alarm that their military’s Starshield services were stymied overnight, leaving gaps in their defenses as they contended with a significant Russian missile and drone barrage. According to Ukrainian officials, about 600,000 Ukrainians were left without power after Russian forces struck energy infrastructure across the country in their overnight strikes.

KALISPELL, Mont.—President Donald Trump has said that the Department of War has chosen Montana to host its new weapons testing site at an undisclosed location.
“Montana will help ensure the American military always reigns supreme,” Trump said during a GOP midterm campaign rally at the Majestic Valley Arena in northwestern Montana on Oct. 14.
“A lot of other people wanted it also.”
He described the new site as a “super range for testing advanced weapons and technologies, including potential autonomous weapons, space and electronic warfare technology, supersonics, and hypersonics.”

Japan will invest up to $21 billion to build two chip factories in New York under a trade agreement with U.S. President Donald Trump, as Washington seeks to expand domestic semiconductor production.
They will be jointly owned by the U.S. government and Japanese interests and operated by GlobalFoundries, the company said on Wednesday.
Construction of the first factory is scheduled to begin this year, with chip production expected in 2029. GlobalFoundries executives said the partners will decide whether to build the second factory before the end of 2028.
The initiative was part of a deal struck by the Trump administration last year for Japan to invest $550 billion in the United States. In return, the United States lowered its import tariff rate on Japanese cars and other imports from a threatened 25 percent to 15 percent.

What made Thomas Weir Pauken II, 51, valuable to the Chinese regime was that he could enter the United States whenever he wanted.
On Sept. 1, a federal judge in Alexandria, Virginia, sentenced Pauken—arrested at a Washington hotel in February—to two years in prison.

A new memo sheds light on the extraordinarily long arm of the FBI as it investigated President Donald Trump — showing that the bureau gobbled up the personal data of at least 639,000 Republican donors, voters and supporters.
Former Special Counsel Jack Smith and the Biden Justice Department obtained data including the names, dates of birth, physical addresses, email addresses, and voter registrations of thousands of everyday Americans, according to the memo released Wednesday by Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley.
Smith wielded the country’s most powerful law enforcement tools to nab data on Trump supporters who purchased MAGA hats, including their shipping addresses.
Smith’s sweep — though ostensibly focused on the events of January 6, 2020 — captured data back to 2005.
The documents suggest that Smith sought to ensnare the information of thousands of everyday Republicans, effectively treating them like parties to a criminal conspiracy due to their party affiliation.
Grassley, an Iowa Republican, said he had obtained the information in the memo from whistleblower disclosures.
“This update shows that Jack Smith and the Biden Justice Department collected incredibly invasive donor data — and voter data — beyond what could conceivably be necessary for Smith or his team to fulfill the Special Counsel’s mandate. The new findings further corroborate that Smith and his partisan team aimed to map out the entire Republican Party apparatus,” Grassley said in a statement in the memo. “I again call on my Democratic colleagues to join my oversight work instead of trying to defend Smith and sweep his abuse of authority under the rug.” (RELATED: Jack Smith Collected Banking Information On Thousands Of Trump Supporters)
