Pollster Allocco to Newsmax: GOP Has Edge in Key Senate Races

Polling expert Patrick Allocco, founder of the Zoose Political Index, told Newsmax on Monday that he expects Republicans to prevail in three closely watched U.S. Senate races Tuesday, despite polling suggesting Democrats could make significant gains.
Allocco, appearing on "Finnerty," predicted Republican victories in Alaska, Michigan, and Texas while questioning the accuracy of recent New York Times polling showing Democrats ahead in several battleground states.
"Their own political analyst, Nate Cohn at The New York Times, came out today and said they're struggling with non-response bias," Allocco said.
"They're trying to model non-college blue-collar workers, and they can't reach them.
"They call it weighting their poll. I call it a Magic 8 Ball," he added.
In Alaska, Allocco said his organization recently changed its forecast after reviewing two private polls showing Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan ahead of Democrat Mary Peltola.
"We have had Alaska called Democrat for months," Allocco said.
"This week we flipped it red based on two recent private polls showing the real Dan Sullivan on top.
"It may go to a second round, but Alaska stays red," he said.
