California Is Proof That America Needs the SAVE America Act

California Republicans had a lot to celebrate after last week's "jungle primary," in which all candidates for each office competed against one another regardless of their political party affiliation, and the top two vote-getters move on to the general election.

Voters were faced with 61 candidates seeking attention in the state’s gubernatorial primary. Despite the crowded field, Republican Steve Hilton was the top candidate taking 27.8% of the votes.

Democrat Xavier Becerra scored a close second earning 25.4%, while Democrat Tom Steyer came in third carrying 19.6%.Meanwhile, the Los Angeles mayoral race was also promising for Republicans.

While incumbent Democratic Mayor Karen Bass came in first pocketing 34.8% of the votes, political newcomer and Republican Spencer Pratt came in right behind her by grabbing 30.4% of votes.Nithya Raman appeared knocked out of the running, carrying 22.3% of the votes.
