Former President Donald Trump plans to make a triumphant return to the Pennsylvania town where he survived an assassination attempt earlier this month.

Mr. Trump announced Friday he is headed back to Butler to celebrate the life of Corey Comperatore, the volunteer firefighter who was killed after he shielded his wife and daughter from the gunman’s bullets at a Trump rally on July 13.

“I WILL BE GOING BACK TO BUTLER, PENNSYLVANIA, FOR A BIG AND BEAUTIFUL RALLY, HONORING THE SOUL OF OUR BELOVED FIREFIGHTING HERO, COREY, AND THOSE BRAVE PATRIOTS INJURED TWO WEEKS AGO,” Mr. Trump said on Truth Social. “WHAT A DAY IT WILL BE — FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT! STAY TUNED FOR DETAILS.”
