Tucker Carlson broke two days of media silence after parting ways with Fox News Channel Wednesday evening by issuing a video message on social media.

He posted the 2-minute, 16-second clip at 8 p.m. EDT, the same hour he’d normally be on Fox News.

The clip did not directly address his leave-taking from Fox or the reasons for it.

But he did end the video, which called most political debates on TV “unbelievably stupid” and “irrelevant,” with a claim that as long as the truth can be heard, it will win.
