Sen. Coons: ‘Very Little Chance’ Kavanaugh Confirmation ‘Will Be Delayed’

WASHINGTON — Despite Democrats’ calls to delay Trump’s Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh until after the mid-term election, one Democrat Senate Judiciary Committee member thinks there is little chance Kavanaugh’s confirmation vote will indeed be delayed.
“There is very little chance that this will be delayed given that Republicans are unanimous in insisting on moving ahead with this on an expedited basis,” Delaware Democratic Sen. Chris Coons said on Tuesday. “So, frankly, I think we need to prepare for what needs to be some very demanding hearings and for thoroughly exploring the record of Judge Kavanaugh.”
