Would you buy a used bridge from this dictator?

Peace is finally coming to the Korean Peninsula, with Pyongyang promising to end its nuclear program. Oh, and there’s a bridge connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn that’s for sale . . .
The truth? South Korean President Moon Jae-in’s office says the North wants talks and has “clearly stated its willingness to denuclearize” if its security is guaranteed. Yet the Kim dynasty is famous for making such promises — and breaking them.
Back in 1994, President Jimmy Carter gave the world the Agreed Framework to end North Korea’s nuclear dreams. In return, Pyongyang got light reactors for peaceful purposes plus food and other aid.
But North Korea never actually halted its work to develop nukes. And when confronted by the Bush administration in 2002, it simply walked away from the deal. So much for peace for our time.

Kim’s offer to halt nuke tests and discuss ending the program could easily just be a ploy to buy time to improve his weapons and build more missiles to deliver them.
