Elon Musk Returns To Political Trenches With Biggest Donation Ever To Republican Senate Candidate

Elon Musk injected $10 million to boost businessman Nate Morris’s bid to replace retiring Republican Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell, marking his largest contribution to a Senate candidate, according to Axios.

Musk made his $10 million contribution to pro-Morris Fight for Kentucky super PAC, which backs Morris, last week, Axios reported. This follows his support for President Donald Trump in the 2024 election. The tech billionaire also has a close relationship with Vice President JD Vance.

The contribution lands as Morris trails former Republican Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron and Rep. Andy Barr in a recent GOP primary survey obtained by the Daily Caller. It showed Cameron leading the race at 40% support and with an edge among men and women across regardless of age. The Cameron-aligned super PAC Kentucky First Action commissioned the pol. Barr’s campaign manager, Blake Gober, called Morris’s campaign little more than a “bonfire” fueled by thrown-away money, according to a Barr campaign press release.
