Trump to Celebrate Passage of ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ at Iowa Event
The president’s speech comes hours after Congress passed the legislation, which spurred tense debates.

DES MOINES, Iowa—President Donald Trump will soon speak to a crowd at the Iowa State Fairgrounds for the kickoff of a yearlong celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, with all expectations for a speech that praises the recent passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
Trump said he will be signing the bill at a 5 p.m. event on July 4. The event will feature B-2s and other military planes flying overhead.
“We’ll be signing with those beautiful planes flying right over our heads,” he said.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters earlier that a “significant part” of the president’s speech will pertain to the bill.
“It’s just a beautiful thing [that] we'll be talking about that in the great state of Iowa, where he kicked off his momentous campaign,” she said.
He celebrated the bill’s success earlier in the day with a post on social media.
