We're not tired of winning yet — not by a long shot.
Now, when the new, GOP-controlled Senate is seated in January, it seems that Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) will be chairing the Homeland Security Committee — and he has some plans in mind.

Now, when the new, GOP-controlled Senate is seated in January, it seems that Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) will be chairing the Homeland Security Committee — and he has some plans in mind.

The X post reads in full:
BREAKING: Senator Rand Paul is going to be the new chairman of the Homeland Security Committee - and intends to IMMEDIATELY begin work on reinstating Remain in Mexico.
"For the health of our republic, Congress must stand up once again for its constitutional role. This committee’s mission of oversight and investigations is critical to Congress reasserting itself."
This is an IMPORTANT Senate committee - the AP reports that it has "broad jurisdiction over government operations, including the Department of Homeland Security."
It becomes official in January. LET'S GO.

"Remain in Mexico" should be one of the first things done, but it sure shouldn't be the last. The current mess at our southern border is unacceptable, and if certain prominent figures in the opposition are still insisting that it's the federal government's job to secure the border — it is, in fact — then the new GOP majorities should take that ball and run with it, which appears to be precisely what Rand Paul intends to do.
