Ignore the open-border establishment — President Trump is right on immigration

Determined to derail the Trump presidency, the liberal media’s latest hobby horse is the treatment of immigrant children who have come here illegally.
CNN recently released the “excruciating audio clip of children howling for their parents,” criticizing the Trump administration’s treatment of “undocumented immigrant children.” The New York Times, Washington Post, CBS News, and others have also highlighted the “sounds of crying children separated from parents at the border.”
Establishment Republicans are right there with them, defending illegal immigrants to tout their #NeverTrump bona fides. ...

Let me be clear: As a mom and family physician, I understand that no American wants to see children separated from their parents. But we need to secure our borders and protect American families. Because it’s inseparable from violent crime, drug trafficking, and the opioid epidemic, illegal immigration is the No. 1 crisis facing our country.________

That’s exactly why I’m running for the U.S. Senate. As elected representatives, our first priority is to serve our constituents, not the citizens of foreign countries. President Trump understands that priority, which is why I support a border wall.
When even Republicans refuse to secure our borders, it’s time for new leadership in Washington.
