Oldest Member Of Britain’s Royal Family, Duchess Of Kent, Dead At 92

Buckingham Palace confirmed the death of Katharine, Duchess of Kent, the oldest member of the royal family, at the age of 92.
Her death was confirmed in a statement shared Friday on the royal family’s Instagram account. She became the family’s oldest member after Queen Elizabeth II died 2022, according to The Guardian.
“It is with deep sorrow that Buckingham Palace announces the death of Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Kent,” the statement read. “Her Royal Highness passed away peacefully last night at Kensington Palace, surrounded by her family.”
The circumstances surrounding her death were not disclosed.
